Projects!
Enough philosophizing. Let's talk about the exciting stuff – real progress in people's lives.
To review, Lives of Giving is focused on two areas: building community ties and providing life's basics.
Building Community
- Project Highlights
- Someone provided food and presented it at a reunion.
- Someone helped prune trees.
- Someone contributed interesting items to a tiny library.
- Other Fun Gifts
- Remote Project: Time Safari
Providing Basics
- Meals
- Living Space
Numbers
- Time Safari Activity
- Hours Given
- New User Registrations
- Donations for Q2
- ~$19,000 (.3 BTC) for the Time Safari project
- ~$900 (.013 BTC) for the Providing Basics project
- $225 for servers (from a single person)
- This is one of the top metrics we want to improve. We'd like to support our server costs with multiple sources, and we'd like to provide more basics for more people in our network. Go here to donate to help with the server costs. Contact us to provide basics for anyone (in your network or elsewhere).
- 149.75 hours for Time Safari. In dollar terms for the rates of contributors, that's worth around $12,000.
The results speak for themselves.
... and by "results", of course I mean the important ones... above the "Numbers". 😁
Further Activities
- Donate. We love regular, small donations because they show interest from everyday people – who are the ones we want to serve and grow with.
- Regular donations spark even more interest. For a time, you'll get a signed verifiable credential declaring that you're one of the first contributors.
- It can be tax deductible, since this is affiliated with The Bridge Foundation. Contact us for more info.
- Set a daily reminder to remember gifts that have helped with your life and projects and goals, and write them on Time Safari or in your personal journal.
